Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact - Bronze

Remember i told you guys about nagging my husband to buy me the Shimmer Brick Eye Palette and the Shimmer Brick Compact while he was on the plane??? Well as promised here's the review for the compact.

The first Shimmer Brick Compact Palette introduced by Bobbi Brown was this one. And after it became the top rated product in the Bobbi Brown range, a few other, not to forget, even better compact palettes were created. I wish i had them all!!! Check them out HERE.

Now this compact comes in a beautiful palette of five pearly shades, which can be either easily blended together or if you wish can be used as a single color on your face as a blush, bronzer, highlighter or even as an eyeshadow. The best part is, this product comes with an original Bobbi Brown blending/powder brush too.

I and this product have been inseparable since i got it. It's long lasting, does not powder off if worn throughout the day and it gives a soft bronze glow to my NC30 skin. Its not "orange-y" either like most of the bronzers are.

The only negative thing I've heard is a lot of fair skinned people complain about the compact being a bit too much for their skin but otherwise it's awesome for Asian skin tones. Then again do go by with the "less is more" motto with this one. You wouldn't wan to look too bronzed up ;)

So, do you own a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact? If so, which ones? What do you think of them? I would love to hear your opinion...

Estee Lauder Fall 2010 Blue Dahlia Collection

Doesn't Hilary Rhoda look divine here??? She does to me and that's what the Estee Lauder Fall 2010 Blue Dahlia collection  is all about - DIVINITY!!!

The new Estee Lauder Fall Collection is something I've been extremely obsessed about lately. It comes in a glamorous golden compact, something I'm a sucker for.

The collection showcased above is Surreal Violet. The nail polish is a lovely dull lilac and the two shades of gloss sticks and pure gloss are awesome too, though I'm not sure if I'd ever wear the darker pink one! The two single eye shades didn't mesmerize me nor did the five color eyeshadow palette.

Now this one's my favorite, the Blue Dahlia collection. I'm sure you know already about my obsession for blue eyeshadow :D
The sexy nail color is something to die for and so is the five color compact (have I said it already?). The gloss sticks and pure glosses are sexy sexy sexy!
This collection features colors for both, surreal daytime looks and dramatic nighttime looks.

So which one's your favorite? Lemme know!

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Eye Palette

I nagged my husband to get this palette and the Shimmer Brick Compact for me while he was on the plane from Dubai to Karachi. So he basically got it from the Emirates In-flight Duty Free. Both the palettes cost Dh.204 each(so worth the money) ;)

These are basically pearly, pastel hues. From left to right: Sunshine(gold champagne), Glisten(lovely icy white), Iris(two-toned gold lavender), Blush(fresh baby pink), Tangerine(pale peachy orange), Surf(sexy sky blue), Grass(pale gold/pale moss green), Petunia(rosy/tea pink), Bronze(pink tinged bronze), Peachy(self explanatory).
They are all very shimmery colors  and so sheer that they seem very similar when applied in a light single layer. I normally apply them with a wet applicator to enhance the color. It works wonderfully that way. By the way the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow brush comes along with the palette.

*I've applied these with a wet applicator. I hope it helps you figure out how they would look.

*sorry my camera ain't all that great.

The compact ain't all that big. Its almost the size of  a credit card.

Final Verdict: ME LOVEEE! You can use it for an overall wash on the lid casually or along with other darker colors for formal events. I wish the colors were better pigmented though, but otherwise i suppose they are meant to be used for a single soft color wash!

So do any of you own this palette? Let me know your opinions...
